The village of Downers Grove is Chicago suburb of ~50,000 residents, and it is commonly rated one of the best suburbs to live in Illinois. There is a divided “north” side and “south” side with a friendly rivalry between the town but an overall strong community. Downers Grove also boasts a very strong park district with endless options for all ages for camps, sports, classes, etc., as well as an 18-hole Downers Grove Golf Club. You'll also find tons of parks and forest preserves with gorgeous trails for hiking, biking, exploring, site seeing, etc. Patriots Park, Hummer Park & McCollum Park are all nearby, with basketball courts, batting cages, outdoor gym, playground, tennis courts, and more! Easy commuter transportation via I-355 or I-55, or the Metra.
